When the majority of us envision achievement, it is academy award winning, joyful, and proof that none of the things that we did were in vain. Achievement is fun, it forgives our toil. However, if we only want achievement, we exclude ourselves from the best teacher of life; failure. Failure is even more deserving in the long run than success because it makes us stretch, grow, and evolve.
Failure strengthens. When we fail, we have ours options are only to give up or try again. With each second that we decide to stand up again, we are strengthened to withstand adversity. Strength is needed most in the later years of our lives when more adversity comes into our way. We would never be aware of overcoming adversity if we never failed.
Failure also makes one a problem solver. Success would make one arrogant, but failure forces us to restrategize, be creative, and resourceful. Most of the world's greatest achievements, from scientific findings to inventions, were sparked by failed attempts in sequence. Failure makes us a lot of things, humble, self-conscious. It puts us in our place because it reminds us that we are not perfect and that we can do and become better. Not only as a better individual but as a better co-worker as well as a better leader too.
Success is where we hurry, but failure is the training ground we practice on to get there. By deciding to embrace failure instead of fearing it, we open the real door to success and expansion.
